Individualized Tutoring
Our tutors work closely with parents to identify specific goals to target during tutoring sessions. As a result, individualized plans tailored to the needs of each student are developed and then implemented during the tutoring sessions. Our tutors address a wide range of skills and in particular, are equipped to assist with the following:
- Reading - phonemic awareness/word attack skills, fluency, or comprehension
- Math - calculation/operations, math fact practice, and applied problem solving
- Writing - content, organization and editing
- Keyboard Skills - typing accuracy and speed
- Assistance - completing assignments and long-term projects
- Content area tutoring - in social studies and science
- Study skills training and practice - note-taking, book reports, test preparation, outlining, etc...(using daily homework assignments)
Individual tutoring is typically scheduled Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. & 6:00 p.m. (based on availability).
WHERE?
Sessions are held at the Tampa Day School Campus in the Citrus Park and Carrollwood area.
SESSION LENGTH AND FREQUENCY?
Sessions are typically one hour in length, with a minimum of two sessions per week.
COSTS?
The fee per one hour session is $70.00. Fees are assessed monthly and are paid in advance at the beginning of the month. Additional testing fees (if applicable) will be discussed prior to the first session.
Sessions cancelled 24 hours in advance will not be billed. In the event that the session is not cancelled in advance, families will be held responsible for the fees associated with the missed session.
