
Executive Functioning Workshop for Professionals on July 26
Are you looking for ways to be more effective with middle and high school students who:
- Are disorganized
- Have difficulty managing homework
- Act impulsively
- Know the material, but can’t retain it
- Rush through work and make careless errors
- Struggle in social situations
- Seem to lack motivation
If so, join us for a one-day, interactive workshop with Lois Delaney, Head of School. This is a great opportunity to maximize your professional development resources.
Throughout the interactive workshop format, participants will:
- Learn to recognize behavior or symptoms of executive dysfunction
- Develop an understanding of current research about the academic and social challenges encountered by students with weaknesses in executive functioning
- Learn strategies to help students who appear to lack motivation,are disorganized, act impulsively, seem forgetful and/or get stuck.
- Work in small groups to select and practice strategies to help students succeed both academically and in social situations.
