Academic ProgramTDS…where the curriculum is specially designed for the students. There are no reduced expectations. Students at TDS are presented with the same academic textbooks and materials as students in traditional schools, but in a manner that more closely matches their individual learning styles. Supplemental materials are carefully researched and then used to enhance the curriculum. So what’s the difference? It’s breaking down large assignments into “doable” steps, presenting instruction through hands-on activities, giving students choices on how they best demonstrate mastery, and using assessment to guide instruction. Laptop technology is fully integrated throughout the curriculum. There’s an emphasis on daily planning, strategies to improve organizational and study skills, homework management and guided support for long term projects. Curriculum encompasses all of the academic subjects as well as physical education, art, music, technology and drama productions. There are relevant field trips, interactive discussions and productive fun on a daily basis. Character Education is not a class to take, but a way of life at TDS. Students are guided and challenged to encourage and support each other, treat faculty and peers with respect, give back to their community and individually put forth their best effort in all they do. At Tampa Day School, we know that it is our responsibility to find the unique key that opens the door to learning for each child. What Does The Academic Program Include?

This was my favorite school. I met my best friend here and we have been friends for almost 4 years now. It has changed my life in so many ways. I am so glad I got to come here and have so many memories from this school.
