Tampa Day School Celebrates 40 Years!

Join us as we enter our 40th year of providing high quality educational services to students in the Tampa area. To celebrate, Tampa Day School is planning a variety of monthly activities for our parents, alumni, professionals, and the entire community to take part in.

We had a fantastic kick-off to our year of events with a community southern-style barbeque, hosted at Tampa Day School on Sunday, October 18th. Over 300 current families, alumni, and community professionals joined in the festivities! It was a day to remember, filled with music, games for kids of all ages, caricature drawing, balloon artists, and - best of all - shared memories of all we've done with bright hopes for the next 40 years! Read more about the event in the coverage on 10Connects.com.

With the kick-off behind us, we are turning our attention to events for the upcoming year. Some of the highlights will be:
  • Free Community Seminar on December 5 - local experts will present on topics such as "Raising Preteens", ADHD, gender learning differences, and much more. An informational day for parents, educators, and community professionals alike! Please download the event flyer for more details. Click here to register for this event.
  • Bags of Literacy - each month we will donate 40 bags filled with books to a local charity
  • 40 Top Professionals - TDS will honor the top 40 local professionals who have truly shared in the vision of TDS. They have been chosen based on their dedication and support of Tampa Day School's mission to Understand, Honor, and Accommodate diverse learners and do it with passion! (UHA!)
  • Rick Lavoie - renowned educator and consultant will inspire and educate on ADHD and "The Motivation Breakthrough"

Be sure to check back regularly as we continue to add events and community workshops. We have an exciting year ahead!

After 40 Years, Our Legacy Continues…

As we begin our fourth decade of premier educational programming in Tampa, we also celebrate the beginning of our legacy in Scottsdale, Arizona, as our sister school, Lexis Preparatory, enters into its first school year. Lexis, too, will offer a full-day program and tutorial services to students with Learning Disabilities and ADHD. Learn more about Lexis Preparatory School at www.lexisprep.com
